There are guidelines for attire and grooming.
Within an acceptable range (light makeup or simply evening out your complexion is fine; do not wear jeans).
The office operates entirely in the Japanese corporate style.
It feels a lot like student desks all facing the same direction.
None of the desks have OA partitions.
It is a completely transparent, open-plan office.
Even picking eye gunk feels embarrassing.
Since this is a trading company where sales staff come and go, salespeople probably will not mind.
If you want to work in an administrative role and will be sitting in the office all day,
you may need to be somewhat mentally prepared.
