Company environment: The office is upstairs in a townhouse, and the interview took place in the restaurant on the first floor.
Job benefits: Labor and health insurance. The actual monthly salary is $28,000 for the first three months, with a salary adjustment based on performance after three months. Six days off per month; required to work every other Saturday.
Total time spent: 15 minutes
The day after submitting my résumé, I received a phone call asking immediately whether I had time to interview that day. It felt like they were extremely short-staffed, but after learning about the job responsibilities, the compensation was not very appealing. The job posting stated “salary negotiable” (which should legally be higher than $40,000), but they only offered $28,000 in person.
