1. I interviewed for a newly established company affiliated with this clinic (特纖能股份有限公司). The interview process was extremely problematic. After the second interview, they called to confirm my availability and final salary before issuing an offer letter. Then, two days later, they said that the vice director had suddenly decided that there should be a third interview (although I was originally told during the first interview that there would only be two rounds). In the end, I was rejected after the interview.

2. During the interviews with this company, I learned that most of the doctors really do have huge egos. The second interview was with the director, and the third was with the vice director. Both interviews consisted of calling the applicant in to listen to their long-winded speeches and lectures. They seemed to have completely misunderstood that the purpose of an interview is for both sides to get to know each other. Not to mention that the third interview required me to make another special trip to the clinic (a one-hour journey) just to hear things I had already heard during the first and second interviews. In the end, I was still rejected. It was extremely disrespectful. Was wasting three weeks of a job applicant’s time really that entertaining?

3. The director himself loves giving lectures. I could somewhat tolerate it during the interview because he said that he had taken relevant courses when he was a student, so what he said did not make me feel that he was pretending to be an expert despite being an outsider. But the vice director was different. He loves giving lectures and has a huge ego, acting as if he is the absolute best. He could not even distinguish the basic roles played by PR companies, media companies, and advertising companies, yet he thought that because the clinic had paid for advertisements, he understood marketing thoroughly. Apparently, all the brand CEOs and chief marketing officers in the world are idiots, and their revenue is fake—only he has the insight and the clearest mind!? To put it in the simplest terms, it is like paying to eat at a restaurant and pointing at the chef, saying, “This is so simple. I have eaten it before, so I can make all of it?” The logic of people who graduate from medical school is truly quite peculiar~

4. I have been working for a long time, and this was the first time I had heard that a position advertised as full-time required the successful applicant to sign a one-year bond to work for the company (I am not sure whether it was a one-year contract renewed annually or what the terms were, since I was inexplicably rejected before finding out. The HR departments of the two companies should, in principle, operate separately, so it was also quite strange that the clinic’s HR department interfered halfway through the personnel procedures for the new company). If signing this kind of bond is required, could you please state it on the job website or during the first interview? You wasted the job applicant’s time.

5. Finally, they said I was rejected because there were other candidates. Yet, over the following two weeks, I continued to see the position listed—and even updated—on the job website. This was clearly playing games with applicants. Also, during the third interview, the vice director had no intention of letting me speak. So was the real reason I was not hired simply that he was dissatisfied with my appearance? If so, you could have just looked at my photo! Was wasting someone else’s transportation costs and time really so great!?
