This company will absolutely make you fully understand the ironclad rule that “a company succeeds because of its manager and fails because of its manager.” After the Export Department changed managers in the second half of 2017, the entire department became terrible—terrible, terrible, extremely terrible—a complete minefield of a department. The beautiful new manager apparently got in through an introduction from the previous manager. She has an extremely domineering presence, looks down on everyone, and talks about team spirit all day long, insisting that everything must submit to the team. She is notorious in the industry for having poor relationships with people and being moody, and especially loves ordering subordinates to handle miscellaneous tasks 【after work】. Less than a year after the new manager took office, she inexplicably made major job reassignments and cut salaries (fortunately, the company apparently was afraid of attracting the Labor Bureau’s attention, so the salary cuts were not implemented). This company holds an annual employee trip. When traveling abroad, the whole group acts like a noisy pilgrimage tour, making an unbearable racket and embarrassing themselves overseas. The annual year-end banquet starts a month in advance: during lunch breaks or after work, employees must rehearse ridiculous costume performances (rehearsal times depend on the requirements of each department manager). If you make it clear that you do not want to participate in the clownish year-end banquet activities, the beautiful manager will imply that you should go home and fend for yourself. The themed costume performance at the year-end banquet is merely for the boss’s friends to watch. Of course, the boss would never make their own children perform on stage, because other people’s children are expendable. There is no overtime pay, and there are no overtime records, because the entire company forces employees to clock out before working overtime; if you forget to clock out, someone will naturally clock out for you (wouldn’t that constitute fraud and document forgery under the Criminal Code? Tsk, tsk). This company and department are such a complete disaster. I implore all job seekers who value their precious lives: do not, under any circumstances—no, absolutely not—go in there and waste your life!
