I applied for a graphic designer position.

The interview lasted about one hour. After filling out the personal information, there was a computer-based test.

Mine involved extending and arranging a banner design. The test lasted 30 minutes, and all the computers were Macs.

The conversation with the owner felt more like a chat. He gave me a very earnest explanation of the company’s current situation and the kind of person he was looking for, and analyzed how I needed to further improve my current abilities; otherwise, it would be very difficult after joining the company.

As for benefits, I was told that the basic bonuses were provided. It was a responsibility-based system, with no overtime pay.

There was a project-based bonus, and the frequency of overtime depended on how urgent the projects were as well as individual ability.

Although I was not ultimately hired, I could tell that the company had fairly high standards for its work. The owner was easy to communicate with. If they had not been interested in hiring me from the beginning, I don’t think he would have told me so much! The environment was clean and tidy; compared with the messy basement environment at my previous workplace, it was truly much better!

There was one cat, and all three colleagues were women. After the interview, I saw them playing with the cat—it was such a shame that I wasn’t hired~

The company is relatively far from the city center, and there aren’t many places to eat nearby.
