The assembly staff are very considerate toward newcomers.

There is a lot of infighting. A tall, heavyset man told me in front of the section manager that I could ask him anything and he would teach me, but when I had questions, he pretended not to hear me. He also falsely accused me of taking defective lamp housings. The problem was that I was called in by the section manager to learn together only 10 minutes after they had started working, and the materials were already there by then. The next day, I prepared the cartons. (At a company with no staff responsible for preparing or tracking materials, no one could find them even after looking for half an hour.) After taking the items, I was supposed to organize them properly before moving them away. While I was organizing them, I blocked his path, so he asked whether I was done. When I said yes, he told me to move aside—is organizing apparently unnecessary? One of the older women in packaging had a bad attitude. She told me to take my time, but half an hour later said I was too slow and told me to go stick cartons together elsewhere. Near the end of the shift, an assembly worker told me to organize the discarded cartons first, otherwise they would have to use work time to do it later. When I was about to go out to organize them, the older woman from packaging asked what I was going to do and said to deal with those cartons after work. After I returned, the assembly worker asked why I had not gone to organize them. I told her what had happened. After work, I was the only one dragging the cartons. The assembly worker asked why no one was helping and how long it would take one person to finish. Only then did one or two people come over to help. There was also a very thin middle-aged man who was unfriendly to newcomers. When ordering drinks or boxed meals, he would place the order without checking whether the newcomers wanted anything. The break area was a dirty, disorderly conveyor-belt area, and certain people had assigned seats. One time, someone forgot to turn off the fan in the break area, so the next day all the fans there were removed and no one could use them anymore. On my last morning, I went in and immediately resigned. The section manager even asked when I wanted to leave. I replied that I was leaving immediately because I wanted to find another job and did not want to waste time. (My experience after working there for five days.)
