慶陞工業股份有限公司
Pros

1. The company provides meals (employee cafeteria), so you don’t have to worry every day about what to eat for lunch. Even on rainy or extremely hot days, you don’t have to feel that getting a meal is inconvenient. (The key point is that there isn’t anything to eat near the company either... you have to ride a scooter to Zhongfeng Road.)

2. The company has a large campus. If you drive, there are more than enough parking spaces inside, and there is also plenty of room for scooters. (Of course, if you want a spot under the rain shelter, you definitely won’t get one if you start work at 9:00.)

3. The company’s training is fairly good. They don’t throw you into the deep end, nor do they immediately give new employees KPIs as soon as they arrive.

4. If you get a good supervisor (section manager), they will help you advance and will also take good care of you.

5. The turnover rate isn’t particularly high. Quite a few people have worked there for 20 years, and more than half have worked there for over 10 years. Of course, there are also young employees who leave after one or two years or two or three years.

6. It doesn’t matter if you don’t have extensive experience; the managers (the “five brothers”) value personality traits the most.

7. You won’t be required to develop new contacts through cold outreach every month. Most customer development comes from various overseas exhibitions or customers calling or emailing to inquire on their own. (The company has been in business for 35 years, so basically many electronics companies in Taiwan know about Ching Sheng.)

8. If your foreign-language skills are good and you show your abilities appropriately to your supervisor, it’s possible to travel abroad for two-week business trips to the United States, Germany, or Europe for overseas exhibitions.

9. Interaction among colleagues is fairly okay.

Cons

1. There isn’t much room for advancement. Unlike typical innovative industries, where ability is the main consideration, the longer your tenure, the higher you climb.

2. Working hours depend on each person’s responsibilities.

3. There is indeed a preference for men over women.

4. It’s not very suitable for people who have many of their own ideas. If those above you tell you how to do something, just do it that way.
