1. No workplace boredom
It’s like coming to watch a TV drama series; there’s an endless supply of personal gossip.
2. Challenging interpersonal relationships
The mid- to senior-level core members drink and have fun together every week. Finding a way into the inner circle is quite a dark and challenging endeavor.
3. A sense of glory
The team leaders all have an overbearing sense of glory, brainwashing people with the idea that 17LIVE is a large corporation, a startup leader, and so on.
1. No management mechanisms whatsoever
You follow the process required by your supervisor and submit the paperwork, only for the recipient to cancel it on the grounds that “someone else is already handling the same project.” When you ask the recipient’s supervisor, they say that isn’t the case. You raise it again, and again, only to have it rejected once more. You ask your department supervisor to coordinate, but they tell you to coordinate with the recipient’s supervisor yourself? Everyone is just waiting for them to resolve their personal disputes before anything can get done.
2. Unfair evaluations
The cumbersome evaluation system is full of loopholes, and even supervisors can’t answer questions about it. After receiving a poor evaluation, there are no supporting measures—just endless interviews. The workload remains the same, and after the interview, your personal gossip will be passed on by HR.
3. Endless seat changes
The organization is reshuffled every two months, and you get a new direct supervisor every four months. All of this is decided suddenly and without warning.
4. Boring work
It’s like working as a miner: after finishing one mine, you keep waiting for the company to sign another mining project. Your supervisor then asks you to keep digging in the barren mine. When a boulder blocks your path, you ask the boss to arrange professional blasters, but are told, “Just keep digging around the boulder—the target for the end of the month still has to be met, okay~”
