Workplace reviews and discussion: 席恩資訊股份有限公司

You are first asked to fill in some basic information.

Then the receptionist there is very enthusiastic and even asks what kind of drink you would like.

After I finished filling out the information, she also brought me a magazine to read.

At that moment, I was truly flattered and even briefly wondered whether I had come for an interview.

The subsequent HR interview was the key part.

The HR representative seemed very unprofessional and came straight into the interview without really understanding the candidate.

Their attitude was rather arrogant, and the entire process was not very comfortable.

What puzzled me most was that they actually lied to applicants.

During the final questions, I asked whether Kaohsiung was the main business development location (the headquarters). The HR representative immediately answered that it was not, and that Taipei was the headquarters and everything was currently centered in Taipei. At the time, I thought perhaps I had failed to check carefully when gathering information, so after the interview I checked the job bank again.

To my shock, the company profile clearly stated in black and white: Headquarters—Kaohsiung.

At that point, I really had a huge question mark.

Interview advice:

The entire interview left me with questions.

In particular, there was the HR representative who lied, and after the HR explanation, it was clear that this position was essentially administrative odd jobs; there was no guarantee that I would even work with social media in the future.

Before the interview, I searched for reviews related to the company. The Kaohsiung headquarters seemed to have quite controversial reviews, so perhaps that was why one of the questions asked how I would handle being attacked? Overall, it was an interview that yielded nothing and was a waste of time.
