The leave policy for chicken-raising staff is completely in violation of the Labor Standards Act. The boss treats employees like slaves. Chicken-raising staff have to live in the chicken coop, and as long as there are chickens in the coop, they cannot take leave. After finally raising the chickens for more than a month and waiting for them to be shipped out, they still have to wait for the contractor who removes the chicken manure to haul it away, and then clean the chicken coop. When the coop has finally been cleaned, you might think you can take a break—but you can't. Two or three days later, a new batch of chicks arrives, and you have to continue being the boss's cheap labor! The boss never gives employees the leave they are entitled to and even thinks it's all perfectly normal!
The boss thinks they are paying a high salary, but has never considered that this NT$30,000–40,000 salary ties employees to 24-hour work in the chicken coop. The boss drives a BMW, while employees have to pay for everything upfront, and reimbursement is slow!
