There were two design managers and an HR representative in the interview. The interview process was quite cordial, and they did not try to make things difficult. Overall, the atmosphere was very respectful, and I could ask questions directly.

The manager was also very direct about the high level of pressure. Overtime can be especially intense when launching a new product, and they would expect someone to be able to work independently. The company has many people and departments, so the scope of responsibilities is very broad and changes frequently.

You need to know how to use AE to add translated text to foreign videos (someone helps with the translation) and repair special effects (not a primary responsibility). Most of the work consists of graphic design and motion graphics production.

The manager seemed quite warm and said that the department colleagues have very good relationships with one another, giving off a big-brother-like feeling. The HR representative was also very polite, so I felt very good after the interview.

They will send you a test assignment consisting of two tasks.

The first task is graphic design: create a graphic design for a mobile phone. You need to come up with the copy yourself, but you may find your own assets.

The second task is to create a motion video using graphic assets; you need to come up with the copy yourself.

You have three days to submit it, and no reference images are provided.

It feels like you could learn a lot, and the manager and department colleagues seem quite nice.

The work is very stressful. I do not have extensive video experience, so while I was working on the second test assignment, I received a rejection email.

Also, HR sent me a test assignment with the wrong name, and later seemed to have called me at the wrong phone number.

There is a lot of overtime.
