The female interviewer showed respect.
Before going in, you are asked to briefly fill out a personality traits questionnaire. There are three interviewers. After briefly asking you to introduce yourself, they begin asking questions.
The male interviewer in the middle was extremely disrespectful toward the interviewee. He only hastily looked at the résumé during the interview, showing extreme disrespect, and he did not listen when others were speaking.
During my self-introduction, I mentioned that I chose a job with regular working hours so I could pursue further studies. After hearing this, he asked, “So you only want to leave work on time?”
I also mentioned that I enjoy learning, and he interpreted it as, “So the company is letting you come here to learn?” The interviewer who was sitting in on the interview also chimed in, “You have to pay tuition to learn.”
Enjoying learning is a good thing; it means that the interviewee is continually growing and improving.
May I ask, interviewer, do you think you are perfect and without flaws?
The condescending attitude made it seem as though, just because your company handles major projects, every interviewee is expected to kneel before entering your company.
Finally, if the interviewer in the middle was playing the bad cop, I have to commend you—you played the role very successfully. If not, then all I can say is that an interviewer like you has no merit beyond making interviewees angry and want to criticize your company.
