The boss is often out, so when you’re alone in the office, you can do whatever you want.
They won’t ask you to make major changes to your designs (but they will ask for minor adjustments or additions).
Low salary.
They use you as multiple departments rolled into one: design, clerical work, running errands and delivering documents—you’re basically a mail carrier (you’ll have to go to Dali, Wufeng, Wuri, and Taiping), making phone calls (over 300 of them), and so on…
There are no colleagues or air conditioning in the office :)
There’s only one electric fan for you to use.
According to the security guard downstairs, it seems employees don’t stay for long.
The boss’s aesthetic sense is somewhat lacking.
And here’s a story to share~
Once, at an event, the boss kept talking about politics onstage and dragged things out.
Someone in the audience got annoyed and came over to ask
whether they could take their prize first and leave because they couldn’t wait any longer.
After being told no, they completely lost their temper and started yelling abuse.
They shouted so loudly that the entire venue fell silent in shock.
At the time, the boss was speaking onstage.
They glanced over briefly and continued talking.
(Continuing to speak isn’t necessarily something I blame them for—they may not have wanted to make the situation too awkward.
But after the event ended, they didn’t ask about it or show any concern at all.
Your employee was inexplicably yelled at, and not only did they not care, they also had no intention of understanding what had happened beforehand. I thought that was really not okay.)
