Interview position: Industrial Control Sales – Domestic and International Sales Representative (Neihu) – Employer-initiated interview invitation
A company that loves to deceive people and shows absolutely no respect for job seekers.
Reason:
The interview time and location were arranged one week in advance. One day before the interview, I was suddenly informed that the location had to be changed to a Starbucks near the company because there would be no meeting room available at the company that day (so was the original reservation just for fun?). Although I disagreed with holding an interview in an unprofessional setting and initially asked to change the interview date, HR said that the manager would be traveling abroad the following week, so I ultimately decided to seize the opportunity and attend as scheduled.
Five minutes before the agreed interview time that day, I called HR to say that I had arrived and asked whether the managers could attend. After waiting for 20 minutes, the interviewer still had not appeared. I called HR again to confirm, and HR immediately initiated a three-way call with the manager. The manager was caught: he had actually been sitting near me for quite some time, and HR said on the phone that he had also noticed me much earlier. So I wondered: does he not understand basic courtesy? Could he not come over and say hello? And why did he not keep to the agreed time?
It turned out there were other hidden circumstances:
During my second call with HR, he reluctantly blurted out one sentence: “Did you know this was a joint interview?” (Of course I didn’t. That’s why you asked, isn’t it?) There were also other deceptive little details, but I will not go into them.
The company’s reputation has been completely ruined by these unprofessional people.
A manager who does not respect job seekers represents the company. After you join, he will not respect you either.
All in all, it was a very unpleasant interview experience.
