1. Great work environment. Colleagues almost always keep their heads down and work, like strangers to one another. The company pays overtime, which is very humane. However, once you claim overtime pay, you will be called into the “glass house” for an FBI-style interrogation. It is guaranteed to improve your ability to react under pressure; after that, you won’t even be afraid to go into the Investigation Bureau for coffee.
2. The starting salary is quite reasonable, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the nostalgic atmosphere of Taiwan in the 1970s. Of course, there are opportunities for raises. But after waiting a year, as an online video said, they won’t even give you NT$100. If you are patient, you should endure another two or three years. Perhaps you might get a NT$1,000 raise—but this is meant to teach you gratitude, thrift, and the importance of money. Afterward, you definitely won’t dare spend money recklessly.
3. Although it is an engineering consulting company, it actually does everything. In particular, anyone intending to enter politics should come here, because your skill at currying favor and flattering others will greatly improve, helping you get along in officialdom later on.
4. The work environment is extremely safe. The company has thoughtfully installed surveillance cameras from different angles. You can safely leave your wallet and phone on the desk, because no one would dare take them.
5. The company undergoes major rearrangements from time to time, so you don’t need to worry about your work performance being affected by feng shui. Therefore, if your work still fails to meet your supervisor’s expectations, just blame your own bazi.
6. Joining Donyang is the best opportunity to learn independence. You will never encounter the trouble of needing to ask questions at work, because managers and other senior supervisors are only in the office about one day a week. And even when they are there, the odds of them “making things worse” are usually higher than the odds of them helping. This gives you complete freedom to apply what you have learned.
7. The company’s employee turnover rate is only slightly lower than the central bank’s money turnover rate. The main purpose is to save employees the cost of taking a “How to Win Friends and Influence People” course, because new colleagues are constantly arriving to introduce themselves to you.
What a wonderful company!
You can fully apply what you have learned.
You can constantly meet new colleagues.
You can have surveillance cameras protect your personal safety.
You can cultivate a thrifty personality that treats money as dearly as life itself.
You can realize that apparently making yourself stupid is the only way to become a manager.
There are absolutely no drawbacks. Anyone who does not come to work is simply foolish.
