The HR interviewer was quite friendly.

In the initial interview, you are asked to fill out basic personal information and take a test. The conversation is fairly relaxed and pleasant.

In the second interview, the company owner’s comments may give you the impression that he looks down on Taiwan’s current service industry, banks, and civil servants, because he believes these are all jobs that do not require much thought. He will also ask the interviewee to explain why the company might not hire them. He may also suggest that working at their company requires a lot of brainpower and that everyone follows an American-style approach in which matters are discussed. (From what I saw, the employees there did not engage in much discussion.)

After that, they repeatedly emphasize that the company expects employees to learn freely and proactively. In other words, there does not seem to be any structured training. They also repeatedly ask whether you like the job and whether you enjoy challenging work.

In summary, they keep undermining your confidence and emphasizing that the job is difficult and challenging, while saying little about the salary. Their goal is probably to reduce the interviewee’s willingness to join the company.
