Pros

There are good colleagues, and the work experience is unusual. You don't have to see the boss often. That's about it.

Cons

A classic traditional Taiwanese exploitative boss. The promotion system is unclear, benefits are unclear, bonuses are unclear, and whether employees are full-time or part-time is unclear. There is no guaranteed base salary, and unpaid leave may be imposed without reason. The boss is constantly lying, pits employees against one another, likes to find people to take the blame, cannot distinguish between public and private matters, and likes to make grandiose promises. He puts saving face first, likes arguing with vendors, turns projects into inexplicable disputes, does not know what he is pursuing, and does not care about the company's profits. He is all talk, constantly saying that the company is not making money, yet never spends money where it should. He likes to boast about having a doctorate, but the company only displays his master's diploma; to this day, no one has seen proof of his doctoral graduation. He likes hearing flattery, while employees who express their opinions directly are called impolite and disrespectful. He has allegedly behaved inappropriately toward newly hired female employees. When short on cash flow, he borrows money everywhere and then tells employees how hard-done-by he is. He is quick-tempered and has poor emotional control. He chose to start a company and become the boss, yet asks employees whom he should complain to about his grievances. He refuses to admit when he does something wrong, evades and shifts responsibility, thinks work is a vacation, assumes employees are having an easy time, and is difficult to communicate with, putting on a sour face all day. When he cannot win an argument, he tells people to try being the boss themselves. He only praises how talented and skilled he is at drawing, but what he produces is slow and ugly. He claims the company is the only 3D painting company in all of Taiwan and that every other painting company branched off from this one. He does not like others doing the bare minimum, yet happily does so himself.

Summary

The company is dysfunctional, and the boss is an all-talk, ineffectual person who is gradually running his own company into the ground. He cannot lead employees, has extremely poor financial management skills, talks a lot of nonsense and rarely follows through, likes being held in high regard, is extremely concerned with saving face and has a strong need for control, and is completely unfit to be a boss. Perhaps he would make a good employee.
