Pros

By saying a few things that sound somewhat profound, the boss will completely believe it themselves, and their power will become extremely extensive.

Cons

1. Maliciously dismissing employees. During my time there, nearly ten people were dismissed and close to twenty people resigned.

2. The boss speaks ill of employees behind their backs, spreads rumors, brainwashes others, forms cliques, and isolates employees they consider problematic.

3. There are no systems, and there are essentially no basic benefits. For example, we used to work until 11 or 12 every night without any allowance or overtime pay. When we were forced to move, we worked 30 hours of overtime over two days but were given only NT$2,000 in compensation (and even that was deducted from a supervisor's salary and given to us because Mai was unable to pay us at the time). After shipping orders in the middle of the night, we were told that people who needed to send packages for convenience-store pickup would receive a subsidy, but it was never paid.

4. Every time, they make things sound very good and paint grand visions, promising specific performance figures and year-end bonuses, but in the end they cannot pay them because of insufficient cash flow. They have no understanding of current assets, fixed assets, or financial management. (When performance increases, employee raises are adjusted arbitrarily. There are no standards or salary bands. The previous group of long-term employees earned between NT$32,000 and NT$36,000. Because veteran employees' salaries were too high, the company had to hire new employees; with no money, they could only cut benefits. They would then say that cutting our salaries was justified because we had not met our performance targets. HR policies changed back and forth. Whoever took a firmer stance or requested benefits would be threatened with a pay cut. People were dismissed arbitrarily simply because they raised issues such as convenience-store pickup and basic benefits.)

5. They trust an employee based on intuition and do not know how to manage employees, casually believing what employees say.
