The HR staff were very nice.
They were willing to provide many opinions and ideas,
explain the company’s situation,
and did not take either the employees’ or the employer’s side; they appropriately asked for the employees’ views.
After having a very pleasant conversation with HR,
they asked a senior manager to come in for an interview.
Once the senior manager arrived,
they immediately criticized you for not being suitable for the job.
They asked an excessive number of personal questions (about your family, savings, and investments) and had an extremely poor attitude.
Moreover, the working-hour pressure at this company is enormous.
There is almost no performance bonus in the first year, and the base salary for new hires starts at just over 30,000.
You have to know English, be aggressive, and work overtime—and they pay you peanuts....
Please think twice before proceeding. I strongly recommend not wasting your time working under these salary conditions and for this boss.
They make it sound impressive to work at Taipei 101, but after interviewing with more than a dozen companies, I have never seen such poor compensation and benefits. On top of that, you have to endure humiliation and invasions of your privacy.
