華村營造有限公司
Pros

1. The general manager and deputy general manager are pretty nice people.

2. You need to be highly independent after joining, and the learning speed is fairly fast.

Cons

Although this company had a fairly good reputation online and in the civil engineering industry in its early days, in recent years it has started to become a company that does not follow the usual rules. I advise newcomers and experienced professionals alike to think carefully before applying. Many people want to change jobs...

1. The benefits system is practically nonexistent.

2. It does not comply with the current Labor Standards Act regulations on one fixed day off and one flexible rest day per week. There is one and a half days off per week, overtime is based on a “responsibility” (accumulating merit) system, and there is no annual leave. Sundays are fixed days off; if you come in that day, as long as management does not see it with their own eyes, it is treated as doing “merit work.”

3. The internal management hierarchy is unwilling to delegate authority and interferes with work assignments at construction sites. Sometimes even subcontractors on-site, and even the site director, cannot be persuaded to do things.

4. The company does not value internal office work and only frantically rushes to complete inspection documents before audits (= working overtime to accumulate merit).

5. Some colleagues within the company have very powerful backgrounds, so be careful.
