Snacks are replenished very quickly, and the receptionist is very cute.
The job responsibilities discussed during the interview were different from what the job was actually like after joining. The old problems of Chinese-funded gambling companies were all still there: they kept asking people to copy other companies' games, and even simply copied images from the internet without making any changes before using them. It was unbelievably outrageous! Later, they kept saying that copied games would not be put on the platform, but that was just talk—who knows what they will do afterward.
Employees with problematic work attitudes can remain there securely no matter how badly they mess up. Their poor abilities drag down the progress of the entire team, and the solution is apparently to bring in more people to fill the gaps, only for the gaps to grow even bigger. It is unbearable to watch...
But the worst part is that the boss and the producer often have completely opposite opinions. One keeps saying that they need to innovate, while the other only scoffs that they have been making gambling games for more than ten years and that only classic-style games can make money. In the end, no one knows whom to listen to.
The office environment is so terrible it is hard to describe. They directly gave the R&D team the seats previously used by customer-service staff who had been laid off. The art team did not even have software to use before; they asked for Macs and were given Windows instead. The reason was supposedly that the producer is anti-Apple, so Macs simply were not allowed. The space was so cramped that it was like keeping chickens in cages. They kept saying they would improve things, but in the end it was still just laughable~
As for the benefits mentioned above in 1x4, take them with a grain of salt. HR usually just talks nonsense. When you ask them for documents, they suddenly suffer from memory loss, then blame a bad internet connection or computer problems. They cannot even send an email, and they are too lazy even to come up with excuses—it's as if they think everyone is an idiot.
A certain woman there who claims to be an animator is even more bizarre... Her logic is poor and she loves insulting people. The things she produces can only make you smile bitterly, yet she loves making herself sound incredibly impressive. I can only hope that one day her intelligence will be as high as her height (lol).
As for the salary... just don't expect much. It does not increase even after becoming a permanent employee, so no wonder they are always unable to find people (shrugs).
