The environment and transportation are both okay, and the colleagues are genuinely very nice.
●Work atmosphere: Very, very quiet… because upper management is constantly breathing down everyone’s necks. The office has no partitions—do you think anyone dares to speak?
It’s such a strange atmosphere that even eating small snacks feels awkward…
●Overtime every day: The stated 6 p.m. end time is just for show! Basically, you’ll stay until at least 6:30 or 7 (don’t worry, there will definitely be something to keep you busy), and upper management considers this perfectly normal. They often ask you to attend a meeting right before you’re due to leave…
★Difficult to communicate with upper management: Everything is urgent—hurry, hurry, hurry. Before you’ve even had a chance to report something, they say they don’t have time to listen, then later blame you for not asking in advance. They say they’re very communicative, but in reality they just keep telling you to listen to them; you can’t express a different opinion.
●You’ll be pulled away to do other things: Various requests to “help” often come up, always extremely urgent, as if a train is about to leave (completely taking up the time you need for your own work or your personal time after work).
●Poor hardware: Your desktop computer will be practically an antique unless you applied for a design position… And the photocopier constantly jams, which you’ll find very frustrating.
Basically, if you’re a workaholic and are perfectly happy to sacrifice and devote yourself to the company, this place is a great fit!
