Start work at 9:30, avoiding rush-hour traffic
Very close to the MRT station
Applied for an administrative position.
They require applicants to have a TQC certificate as a minimum, and a Chinese typing speed of at least 80 or 85 characters per minute.
The salary offered is only NT$23,100 (that's right! The total monthly pay is just the minimum wage).
The interviewer was very candid in saying that the job itself isn't difficult, yet the requirements are not low, while the salary is only the basic wage.
They tried to persuade me to consider becoming a sales assistant, whose salary and benefits are much better than those of the administrative position.
However, after coming here and seeing that almost all the reviews for sales were ...... I was not interested in sales to begin with, so I politely declined.
The interview concluded, and they said they still had to send my information to the head office and would notify me about a second interview (the interviewer said he was only helping the company screen candidates initially).
The interviewer said that on the day of the second interview, I would also have to compete simultaneously with other applicants on Chinese typing speed.
Several people also came for interviews that day.
Some applied for sales and some for administrative positions, but most applied for sales.
The interview was very brief (they seemed to just roughly assess the applicant's overall impression?).
After the interview, I more or less understood why they are constantly hiring.
I recently received notice of a second interview, but I declined.
