The manager was quite nice, and the interview went pretty well.
But here’s the important part: anyone thinking of applying should think twice.
The 30K salary listed in the job posting is basically just for show.
The boss’s “girlfriend,” Ms. Liao, tried every possible way to cut your salary.
The interview had gone pleasantly, and I was waiting to hear back.
That evening, I immediately received a call from the boss’s “girlfriend,” Ms. Liao.
As soon as I picked up, her attitude made me feel disrespected.
She was extremely rude and arrogant.
She kept using the salary from my previous job to humiliate me and compare it with theirs, repeatedly saying, “Our company gives two months’ year-end bonus, you know” (so what?)—basically implying, “How dare you ask for this salary?”
But please get this straight: you’re the one who listed 30K in the job posting. If you’re unwilling to offer it, don’t write it so confidently! Speechless.
I didn’t even name a salary during the interview, and I thought the salary listed in the job posting was fine, so I was willing to accept all the job duties.
That phone call left me completely speechless, and I had no idea what kind of act she was putting on.
Besides, if the compensation at my previous job was already good, why would I leave to apply to an unknown e-commerce company like yours? Obviously, I’m looking for better compensation! Is that wrong? And I want to emphasize again that I never asked them to raise the salary any further.
She was also incredibly rude, saying, “I’m offering you a salary you’ll be satisfied with. Can you guarantee that you’ll definitely deliver work performance I’ll be satisfied with? Do you understand the job duties? Are you sure you can handle them?”
I was originally confident, and I thought taking work seriously was simply expected. But after she acted like that, I immediately blacklisted the company. I doubt things would be any better if I joined; they clearly have no respect for people. No wonder the position has been open forever, haha.
I won’t say much about the job duties, but the role also involves moving goods and repairing machines.
I advise anyone considering applying to think it over carefully.
An absolutely terrible interview experience.
The boss’s “girlfriend,” Ms. Liao, should really learn some basic etiquette, or she’ll cause trouble sooner or later, haha.
