The HR staff were very friendly.
1. The manager was arrogant and impatient. They asked the candidate to describe their previous work experience, but then casually interrupted others and arbitrarily summarized and criticized the candidate.
2. The manager believed that employees (who were not secretaries) should naturally help handle senior executives’ personal matters, whether during work hours or after work. Employees were even expected to see this as a sign of trust and happily accept it.
3. HR said the company was growing and spoke highly of the prospects for its products, but the manager said there was currently no profit-sharing, and the year-end bonus was at most two months’ salary. Is the company really growing?
4. Engineers can claim overtime (it was not stated whether other positions can apply for overtime), but only compensatory leave is available.
5. The manager strongly believed that overtime was caused by insufficient individual ability and that there could be no other reasons. So when the HR manager sent interview invitations to candidates on holidays, was that also because of insufficient ability rather than a heavy workload?
6. The interview ended very casually, after no more than 20 minutes. If it was going to be handled so casually, why not just conduct it by phone instead of inviting the candidate in only to dismiss them so perfunctorily?
