Pros
It’s pretty easy when the big shots aren’t around. If you have the composure to treat emotional scolding from senior management as background noise, you could stay until retirement.
Cons
Veteran employees bully newcomers. If newcomers don’t dare talk back, they’ll often get berated; if they do talk back, they’ll be isolated and ostracized.
Overall, excluding foreign workers, the turnover rate among Taiwanese employees is quite high.
