At first, they were very polite, and the shifts included scheduled days off.
Eventually, aside from eating and sleeping, I was working all the time. There was only a one-hour break at noon. I had to get up early to prepare breakfast and have everything ready, then clean up after the guests finished eating. After that came cleaning the surroundings. At 11:00, when guests checked out, I started cleaning the rooms and replacing items that needed to be washed. I took a one-hour lunch break at noon. Starting at 1:30 p.m., guests began checking in, and a series of tasks followed, including explanations and guided tours, carrying luggage, and assisting until all guests had checked in. Then I started the preparations for dinner, followed by cleaning up after the meal, or preparing for guests’ barbecues and handling the cleanup afterward. Once that was done, I counted the ingredients and supplies, prepared the things needed early the next morning, and finally turned off the lights and made rounds. Then it was time to shower and sleep. The next day, the same cycle repeated. During any other free time, I had to answer the phone, check booking information online, and call to confirm reservations. Basically, apart from eating and sleeping, I was working constantly.
