智盛生物科技有限公司
Pros

The office is conveniently located near the World Trade Center MRT station.

Cons

Basically, what I want to say is the same as in the post above. I’m just writing another post so people can avoid stepping on landmines.

1. Bonuses are only paid after the client’s payment has been credited, so it can take anywhere from six months to a year (schools and other institutions are slow to release funds). By the time you can receive the bonus, you may have already resigned.

2. Giving product presentations from time to time is good and necessary, but I was speechless when an email explicitly stated that making PPTs was not allowed during working hours and that we should find time to do them after work.

3. Traditional, old-fashioned thinking: even when there’s nothing to do, you’re expected to wait until the boss has left before clocking out. You end up staying about 1–2 hours late every day, just sitting around. If you want to leave on time, you’ll be asked what you have to do and will have to make up an excuse to leave on time. Otherwise, every day becomes a bizarre journey of pretending to be busy and wondering what time you’re allowed to leave.

4. They try to control everything—even what employees do after work. They decide whether employees’ after-work plans are important. It seems they want employees to be on call 24/7. Even when I was in the military, no one controlled this much, lol.

5. I received an email at 11 p.m. and didn’t reply because I didn’t want to look at work matters after hours. The next morning, as soon as I arrived at the office, I was asked about the email’s contents. They really just wanted to criticize me for not replying to or reading an email received in the middle of the night.

6. Sales staff who work outside the office are required to return to the office after finishing their appointments instead of going straight home if they have been out for a long time. So later, I would return to the office at 4 p.m. after sales visits, which reduced my efficiency.

7. High-pressure management: they constantly monitor what you’re doing and even watch what you’re doing on your computer. I’m afraid they may even be timing how long you spend in the restroom, haha.

8. It’s just a tiny company, but they love putting on airs like a big boss. Employees’ time is treated as worthless. Once you join, you’re not an employee—you’re expected to devote your life and serve loyally like a household servant. If you’re extremely submissive, obedient, willing to be taken advantage of, and a bit of a masochist, you can give it a try.

9. When you go to meet the company’s existing clients, they even give a wry smile and say, “Oh, they’ve replaced you again?”

10. The turnover rate is high. If you’re thinking of joining this company, I advise you that you can find better options.
