The HR department is essentially taking a scattershot approach, and the plant manager’s interview was also unprofessional and inattentive.
I traveled a long way for the interview, and the position was in the same field as my previous work, with relevant experience.
The plant manager glanced at my résumé and kept saying things like, “You have no experience. You have no experience.”
Because I had traveled across counties/cities for the interview, they gave me a somewhat contemptuous look and asked why I didn’t just look for a job closer to home.
They had asked what I had done previously just a minute earlier, then asked the same question again the next second—they clearly weren’t listening to what the interviewee was saying.
The compensation was completely different from what was posted on the job bank. They already had a set figure in mind, so there was no point in discussing compensation with them.
In short, anyone considering going for an interview should think carefully. The impression they give is extremely poor.
