Pros

The interviewer is a natural salesperson, and even brings people in for interviews while promoting the company’s products.

Cons

For the first three months, the base salary is NT$25,000–30,000. After that, your salary is entirely “projected” based on performance. Immigration cases are worth more performance points, but if half of the case is unsuccessful, there is no bonus. It also depends on how long the case takes to be reviewed overseas: only after passing each stage does part of the bonus count, and you have to stay long enough to receive it. If the review is not finished and you resign early, you will not receive the bonus.

The same applies to study-abroad cases. If the student does not stay abroad for at least one month after leaving the country, it does not count toward your performance—you have worked for nothing. After the three-month guaranteed base-salary period, if you have no cases in a given month, you will only be paid the minimum wage of NT$23,000, apparently waiting for you to quit on your own. However, the performance from cases you handled before resigning is forfeited, and there are no guarantees.

Finally, the supervisor actually tried to recruit me as one of her downline members, asking me to introduce friends who wanted to immigrate. It was a bit outrageous. I had read about this on PTT, so I was not very surprised at the time, but after thinking about it at home, I felt that the company might not actually be recruiting employees; instead, it may be trying to develop study-abroad and immigration business through the interviewees’ friends and relatives. There is a high chance you will be treated as disposable sales staff, so be careful.
