Cons

1. An extremely terrible company

2. Operates in the gambling industry

3. The interview process was highly unprofessional

4. The overall impression was very vague and ambiguous

Perhaps because it is in the gambling industry, the other party did not use their real names and avoided discussing the group or funding.

When asked about the company's policies and benefits, the interviewer never gave a direct answer, making excuses by saying, “We’ve only recently arrived here and don’t understand your rules and regulations.” However, during the interview, I learned that they outsource legal work and accounting to firms, and have Taiwanese contacts they know in northern, central, and southern Taiwan. It would be extremely easy for them to inquire about and consult Taiwan’s corporate culture and Labor Standards Act regulations, yet they continuously avoided discussing matters related to employee rights. It felt as though they intended to ignore, conceal, or even deliberately obfuscate these issues.

They repeatedly criticized Taiwanese people for being too comfortable and rigid, and said that Taiwanese people could only do work serving people from mainland China. I felt that they were not very friendly toward Taiwanese people and did not respect them enough.

The salary negotiation was reduced far too drastically. Their attitude of trying to save money and take advantage of employees was truly disgusting.

Since it is a startup, everything is being built from scratch, so they may lack experience. Whether it was arranging the interview time, the interview process, or negotiating the salary... and so on, I felt disrespected, and everything was full of uncertainty. I did not feel even the slightest sense of protection for employees.

I believe this industry has great financial prospects, and I also believe that when there are profits, there will certainly be generous bonus and benefits systems. However, interviews depend on first impressions, as well as the sincerity demonstrated by the interviewer and the company. To be honest, I did not feel that sincerity at all. I only felt that they wanted to quickly find someone experienced to get up to speed, preferably saving the time and cost of training.

I hope the company’s management can appoint people based on their abilities instead of only knowing how to cut salaries. I also hope they will stop constantly comparing Taiwanese and mainland Chinese people. Everyone comes to work to earn a salary; no one is more noble or inferior than anyone else. I hope your company can sincerely treat the Taiwanese employees who have already joined.
