The office seems fairly new.
I went for the interview before the Lunar New Year and had already asked HR whether they were urgently hiring. However, I was still told to attend the interview first and then discuss it with the supervisor.
When I arrived, I filled out some forms. HR conducted a brief interview first, followed by an interview with the procurement supervisor.
However, the procurement supervisor’s questions were very pointed. At one point, they even asked:
“Vendors might contact you on holidays. If your friends asked you why the company was like that, how would you respond?”
Many of the questions later on were also irrelevant—it felt like they were just making small talk.
They also acted superior because of their seniority and said they felt I should not be looking for a job while still employed. I really did not know whether I had come for an interview or to be “checked on.”
I felt very disrespected. It was an extremely unpleasant interview experience.
