Pros

No clocking in or out

Cons

1. Flexible working hours with no clocking in or out (official start time is 9:00 a.m., but the most senior employee usually arrives as late as almost 10:00)

2. Overtime is routine. Normal finishing time is 6:00 p.m., but work often drags on until 8:00 p.m. (The latest I’ve heard of was someone leaving at 11:00 p.m. because there weren’t enough people to complete the design, and the proposal couldn’t be presented the next day)

3. They say there is a one-hour lunch break, but in reality there practically isn’t one. To be honest, there aren’t many places to eat nearby, so everyone eats at expensive buffets (and still doesn’t get full)

4. Although the boss has a good attitude and doesn’t yell at people or become emotional, meetings always last at least an hour. Usually, a meeting scheduled for 10:00 a.m. doesn’t actually start until 10:30 and continues until noon or even 12:30, followed by lunch (meetings often have no clear focus, and everyone just sits there silently without speaking—so what is the point of holding them?)

4. The boss originally said there were 10 employees, but after joining I discovered there were actually fewer than 3. As a result, many miscellaneous business tasks have to be handled by everyone: answering phones, sending packages, packing goods, cleaning, and doing things that were never mentioned originally. There are no bonuses either—it’s basically a job where you work yourself to death for a single salary

5. If an event takes place outside working hours, the entire company has to attend, and there is no such thing as reimbursement for transportation or meal subsidies

I recently found out that the company does not enroll full-time employees in labor insurance, and health insurance is out of the question (there aren’t even pay slips issued with salaries)

If you can accept all of the above, I’m sure you’ll be able to survive at this company. Good luck
