The interviewer kept repeating himself.
I interviewed for a marketing position, but the interviewer couldn't explain the job description or duties. They only listened to the interviewee describe their previous work experience, then added, “Everything you just mentioned is part of the job.” (Confused Black person meme???)
The company prides itself on being an innovative marketplace, but it couldn't clearly express its foundation or what its key focus is.
An interview is about evaluating the candidate, but it also gives the candidate a chance to evaluate the company. Since the company couldn't clearly express its own needs or distinctive qualities, I think the department manager should seriously reflect on this.
P.S. They kept asking how much I wanted to join.
Inner thought: Not that much ^^
