During the interview, they verbally told me that I had been hired, but unexpectedly sent me a rejection email through the job bank the day before the agreed-upon start date. I was completely dumbfounded. However, I already felt that it was strange when they immediately told me verbally after the interview that I had been hired. After all, a verbal offer provides very little security. A few days after the interview, all of the company's job postings on the job bank were closed, so I thought there really was no problem with the job. This was the first time I had encountered something like this. A company that does not keep its word is not worth working for.
Moreover, the salary offered during the interview did not match the salary listed on the job bank. They said that because my technical skills might not yet be sufficient, the starting salary could not reach the standard they had posted. If that was the case, why did they invite me to an interview after reviewing my résumé? They should have interviewed someone whose abilities matched the requirements of the job, so that person could receive the salary offered by their own company.
