Being deceived starting from the interview
This company is a family business: the owner’s son is the manager, and the owner’s wife is the chief accountant.
Therefore, the atmosphere at work each day depends on the moods of the owner and his son. Family arguments at the company are commonplace.
During the initial probationary period for sales and retail-store positions, the work mainly consists of miscellaneous tasks. Buying meals, cleaning, standing guard, and moving goods are absolutely unavoidable. Probationary sales staff receive no comprehensive training, while the company tries to get the most out of the basic salary of NT$28,000. Probationary sales staff must also double as delivery drivers, the manager’s driver, the owner’s personal assistant, and customers’ cleaning and moving workers.
The company has poor communication with employees and tends to use emotional language.
After completing the three-month probationary period, sales staff continue doing miscellaneous tasks without any sales performance.
Over time, there is no actual experience or guidance in sales procedures, no clear business direction, and no source of sales performance. In the short term, the company will not provide sales staff with opportunities to increase their income.
The basic salary is essentially the entirety of the company’s expenditure. Please think twice before applying!
