Cons

1. A typical family-run business: almost all department heads are relatives of the owners, so you will never get a chance to be promoted.

2. Disposable-chopsticks jobs: during holiday events, the chefs are worked until after 10 p.m. before they can leave, but if there is extra bread, the chefs are required to buy it themselves and take it home.

3. The owner’s wife is extremely efficiency-oriented, yet rarely holds meetings when making decisions. After more than a decade in business, there are still no SOPs; almost everything is done on a whim. Without evaluating the benefits at all, she immediately asks her special assistant to issue orders. Even when the chefs below are already overwhelmed, they still have to produce whatever the owner’s wife wants. If they say they cannot produce it, the special assistant uses the owner’s wife to pressure them, while shirking responsibility.

4. The turnover rate is extremely high. HR interviews at least three people a day (not including store clerks). In reality, nobody there wants to keep working, so everyone approaches their work perfunctorily, just going through the motions. Everything is done to a 60% standard, simply to get the owner’s wife to stop talking. I strongly advise everyone not to join this company.
