Pros

Under the disadvantages

Cons

1. On my first day of work, I hadn't signed a contract and wasn't given an employment offer letter.

2. Chatting in the office is not allowed.

(I tried talking to others about work and then casually adding a sentence or two of small talk. I merely gave a slightly fake laugh twice to show agreement and friendliness, but was immediately scolded by the boss's wife: “Do you have no work to do?”)

3. Eating in the office is not allowed.

4. I was introduced to the older man in charge of the management office on the first floor, who said, “Oh, you people are always changing. How would I remember?”

5. Less than a week after I met her, the boss's wife lightly patted my head. Even if she was trying to show friendliness, I still don't think she had the right to do that.

6. Casual clothes are not allowed except on Fridays.

7. When I answered the interview call, the very first thing I heard was:

“A certain pan-blue candidate, XX…” (I couldn't hear clearly whether it was “dong-suan” or something else.)

8. The workload is so heavy that hiring two more people would not be excessive at all. (It seems they have posted more openings now.)

9. Even though I was hired for clerical work, the boss asked me to consult the engineers at an outsourced vendor about how to fix the official website.

10. It may take two years just to escape the bottom of the office food chain.

11. The number of people in the office differs considerably from the number listed on the job bank.

Pros

1. Flexible start time from 9:00 to 9:30, and being late does not actually result in a pay deduction. (But I thought arriving at 9:15 meant I could leave at 6:15, only to learn that the actual end time was 6:30. Is the “flexibility” just for bouncing your forehead into a wall??? )

2. Taking time off is not difficult.

3. Since the workload is truly enormous, if you can handle it, it is indeed a good tool for honing yourself as a future boss.

4. The coworkers are all pretty nice.
