龍店股份有限公司
Pros

A two-minute walk from Haishan MRT Station, and you're at the company.

There's a PX Mart right downstairs.

Cons

*This company is a Zen meditation organization called “Bodhi Meditation,” which is not at all obvious from its 104 job listing.

1. The employee benefits are not as good as stated on 104

What is written on 104 is:

◆ Bonus categories

1. Year-end bonus

2. Bonuses for the three major holidays

3. Birthday cash gift

None of these three bonuses actually exist. Instead, the company uses a performance bonus system: you only receive a bonus if you meet your performance targets. However, most of these bonuses cannot actually be taken home. The supervisor expects everyone to use their bonuses for team meals to foster closer relationships among employees. So you work yourself to the bone to meet your targets, but your bonus has to be used to split the cost of a meal with people in your team. This shows absolutely no respect for employees. In short, the bonuses listed on 104 are a lie.

2. You could be laid off at any time

The supervisor says that the big boss is easy to talk to and that you can ask him anything. But if you say something that offends the big boss during a meeting, you will simply be fired. This company is basically a ticking time bomb, and it does not even provide severance pay.

3. Working overtime on holidays

There are often events on holidays that require filming, but these events are arranged suddenly. You may only be notified the day before or two days beforehand, making it impossible to plan your holiday schedule. Overtime pay is provided, though.

4. Constantly being made the scapegoat

The big boss sometimes suddenly makes requests for program shoots. That in itself is not the issue; the problem is that the pre-shoot plans agreed upon internally become a complete mess on the day of filming. Nothing follows the script at all. As for staffing, whoever the lead calls to appear on camera has to go on camera immediately, regardless of the on-site director's instructions. The finished product is a complete disaster, and they always try to fix it with animated special effects. Then they start blaming us for not being prepared, and you are left to bear the responsibility for the failure of the entire production.

5. Communication barriers

Every supervisor at this company is extremely difficult to communicate with. Even when a consensus is reached in a meeting, they still follow the old rules afterward. This is a completely inefficient company. Whenever there is a new program proposal, it has to be revised internally first. After countless revisions, it finally reaches the big boss, only to be rejected again, meaning all the time spent beforehand was completely wasted. If you want to communicate with the big boss, you have to pass through multiple layers of supervisors—not just one. Even if the master receives the message, its original meaning may be lost through hearsay, or it may be rejected at the supervisor level, even though the big boss might actually have wanted to pursue it.
