I didn’t expect this company to still be around...
Remember when negotiating your salary, the boss took out a salary range chart from the Labor Bureau, pointed to the minimum wage, and said: “We’ll start with this, and adjust it after the probation period.” At the time, I didn’t have much work experience, so I foolishly agreed... There was an adjustment later, but it was only a few hundred dollars...
They sell high-priced products, and during the peak season, the shipping volume is quite good. The daily turnover is astonishing. Sometimes the delivery personnel who came to pick up the goods would make small talk, saying things like, “Your company ships a lot.”
The boss actually pointed at the only two or three employees and said: “We still have to support all these employees who are crying out to be fed!”
(Everyone can think for themselves about this kind of boss’s mentality.)
They sell heavy products such as health-preserving cooking machines and kerosene heaters. At the time, all the employees were women, yet the boss would order forty or fifty boxes at once, and the employees had to move all of them themselves... Although the boss was also very thin, it would have been faster if he had helped move them together....
*I left the company a long time ago, so I don’t know how things are now. But after all this time, the company is still about the same size...
*The boss isn’t a bad person, just not particularly generous...?
*Overall, it’s not at the level of “definitely don’t go.” People without work experience who simply want enough to get by could still consider taking a look.
