哈伯實業有限公司
Pros

Hmm.......A year-end bonus starting at two months’ salary, and snacks for monthly prayer rituals.

I guess that’s about it.

Cons

1. The job description given during the interview is vastly different from the actual work content. The gap is quite large, and some aspects are even rather ambiguous. I think this is because the person interviewing you—the boss—doesn’t actually understand what the position does in practice, and the duties are not clearly divided.

2. There are also senior employees who earn high salaries but push things they don’t know how to do or don’t want to do onto junior employees. The boss always sides with these senior employees and tells you that you need to learn whenever you say you can’t do something, even though they themselves never learn. As a result, you have more and more things to do, while your salary stays the same.

3. The senior accountant responsible for attendance management always clocks in and out on behalf of a certain senior employee, thinking nobody knows. In fact, everyone sees it, and reporting it to the boss is useless because that senior employee has followed him for decades (I really don’t want to know how many years she has followed you). If proxy clock-ins can still qualify someone for perfect-attendance pay, then they might as well abolish the rule deducting pay for lateness—or let the senior employees stop clocking in and out altogether. Wouldn’t that be wonderful?

4. As soon as the senior employees arrive at the company in the morning, they play Candy Crush and watch videos. When the boss comes into the office, they pretend to be incredibly busy, while complaining that other people who come in to work overtime on weekends aren’t really doing anything, or complaining that other people doze off at work.

5. The sales staff also push things onto you. All they can say is that they don’t know how to use something—there’s nothing they know how to use, and they don’t know how to use their brains either.

6. The boss only assigns the people he considers the least busy and least important to help with packaging. The moment lunch break ends, if you stay in your seat for even one extra second, he calls your extension to hurry you over to packaging. The senior employees happily watch videos and play Candy Crush, yet he still thinks they’re very busy and important. As far as he’s concerned, the busiest person in the entire company is the accountant. Oh! His son is important too.

7. This is the first time I’ve heard of a company requiring someone to be responsible for cleaning toilet seats. There’s disinfectant in the restroom; each employee can simply manage things themselves before and after using the toilet. I don’t understand what he’s trying to accomplish.

8. Even tearing off calendar pages requires someone assigned specifically to do it, instead of the person sitting there doing it. Also, the senior employees don’t answer the phone; no matter how busy the junior employees are, they have to answer it. When all the junior employees are out, hardly anyone answers the phone.

9. He doesn’t know how to use a computer or Facebook, yet acts as if he’s very proficient, using terms that sound impressive and asking foolish questions—many of which could be answered simply by trying things out in practice. He doesn’t actually try anything himself; he just engages in armchair theorizing full of holes. Explaining things to him is worse than saying nothing, because he will endlessly argue in circles against you.

10. You’ll have to experience the rest for yourself.........

(Oh! Even turning off the lights during lunch break causes disputes— which row should be on and which row should be off. There are complaints about everything, but the senior employees won’t turn them off themselves; someone has to be specifically assigned to turn the lights on and off.)
