Sharing only my interview experience:
There is a storefront. When I arrived at the agreed-upon time, I was asked to wait there. After waiting for about 15 minutes, I was finally invited into a meeting room.
However, I continued waiting there for about another 10 minutes. The person who came was an HR representative. (Isn't one of HR's responsibilities to schedule interviews? How could they still make an interviewee wait nearly 25 minutes?)
The interview began, and the HR representative asked many professional questions (related to marketing planning).
I patiently answered, but I couldn't help wondering whether it would have been more appropriate for the department manager to ask the professional questions.
Because after I answered, the HR representative seemed not to understand either (some things even required further explanation to them). The questions that followed were also incoherent, and I didn't know what the purpose of asking them was.
There were two HR representatives asking me questions at the time, and they asked for quite a long time—nearly 20 minutes.
However, the part that should have involved explaining the job and HR-related matters was glossed over.
After they finally finished asking their questions, I thought it was probably time for the department manager's interview!
At that point, the two of them said: “Thank you. You can go home and wait for our response now~”
Me: “!?” They didn't even pretend to go out and come back in. How could they decide that the interview ended there?
They did not explain whether there would be a second interview, nor whether the manager was absent or busy!
So I asked them: “So the department manager doesn't need to interview me?”
They answered: “That's right!”
Well~ all I can say is that the HR staff at this company must be proficient in everything; apparently, they can figure everything out just by asking the questions themselves!
All in all, I think this was a very poor interview experience. I don't understand why they had me spend time waiting for an HR interview if I wasn't even going to have the opportunity to interview with the manager.
An interviewee's time is time too. If you truly think the interviewee isn't someone you're looking for, please don't waste other people's time~
My education and work experience, as well as my expected salary, were all clearly stated on my résumé!
