1. You have to join Yiguandao, and one Saturday every month you have to attend classes (unpaid). You also have to help out on the weekends during the March classes/opening and November graduation (three full days for only $2,500). If you don't join, deal with the consequences yourself.
2. You have to pretend to be very noble, with a pile of unnecessary etiquette (for example, waiting for the supervisor to start eating before having lunch, and making a point of greeting them when arriving at and leaving work...).
3. The company prepares lunch for everyone, and you can only eat vegetarian food. Even your own breakfast has to be vegetarian; otherwise, you have to eat outside the company.
4. Regardless of whether you take leave due to illness or for whatever reason, if you take more than three days of leave in a month, you can easily be told to go home and fend for yourself.
5. The supervisor speaks harshly. You have to be obedient like a dog and report every day how much work you have done while flattering them... If you're sensitive, don't even try.
6. Since the supervisor makes all the decisions alone, everything has to be done according to their wishes. As a result, the company makes very little progress: it is traditional, resistant to change, and burdened by its public image.
7. Work processes are disorganized, and a lot of information is missing. When something goes wrong, they blame you for not asking; when you do ask, they say, “Why do you even need to ask about something like this?”
8. Employees are made to pay for business losses or have them deducted from their wages.
-The main problem is the supervisor. Although they follow Yiguandao, they are neither compassionate nor empathetic, make assumptions, and arrogantly disrespect professional expertise... Come only if you can tolerate that. Also, many things are followed only because they are required by the Labor Standards Act; don't assume the company is voluntarily providing them.
If you have any of the following, you will basically be eliminated and not hired:
a. Smoking or drinking (you must not do either at all—not merely avoid doing it at the company)
b. You'd better pray you stay healthy; people who get sick or have family members/children requiring care are not acceptable.
c. Not joining Yiguandao or not participating in related activities
d. You may only wear dark-colored clothes, and the styles must be conservative.
e. An unsavory family background or an unconventional lifestyle (they pry into your family background and your conduct outside working hours)
f. Fresh graduates have very little chance
