Basically, most people who apply are anxious and worried, so naturally their emotions and manner of speaking can be quite unpleasant. However, the supervisors I encountered would not support you; they would only reprimand you. No one pays attention when you do your job conscientiously, but if you make a mistake—for example, misspeak or receive a complaint—you can expect to be subjected to highly sophisticated emotional bullying, and it is supposedly legal.

Most applicants who come in need to undergo further review by a committee to determine whether they meet the qualifications. The committee members and legal-aid lawyers are all very good, but the “legal” emotional bullying from coworkers and supervisors can make you feel isolated and helpless. When you see people sleeping at work or falsifying overtime hours while you yourself are subjected to all kinds of difficulties, I advise anyone considering joining to think twice. There may be cases of positions being predetermined for certain candidates.
