Salary is paid on time
There are no clear provisions governing employees on overseas assignments. The company may change the requirements at any time and expect you to comply; if you don’t, you’re told to leave. Previously, while I was back in Taiwan on leave, I was asked to return to work, with the reason being: since I had already taken leave in accordance with local holidays at the overseas assignment location, taking leave abroad is very different from working and taking leave in Taiwan, isn’t it? They insisted on this justification, and if you didn’t go to work, your salary was deducted.
After joining, you may be asked to do different tasks or take on additional miscellaneous duties that were not clearly explained beforehand. In short, the company is very good at exploiting loopholes to pressure employees.
