Pros

1: The salary structure is very attractive (it’s genuinely considered high in the industry).

2: Repair services use voice recorders (when disputes arise, the louder person doesn’t automatically win).

3: The company pays for all fuel (company vehicles include manual-transmission cars and motorcycles).

4: Technicians have a set of company SOP procedures (please follow the company’s service SOP).

5: One-day work trial (there may be a one-day work trial where the boss observes you working for a day; if they find it effective, they may let the interviewee do a one-day trial).

6: Correct water-use concepts! (Qianshan is strongly promoting proper water-use concepts. When replacing a filter, you must explain proper water-use concepts to the customer.)

Cons

1: Strange working hours: clock in at 12:45 and finish work at 9:30 p.m.

(I’ve never before encountered a water purifier seller whose work hours start at 12:30.

After going out with a technician for a one-day trial, I found that a technician who provides services quickly

can definitely finish serving 7–8 households in one day.)

2: An unusual amount of recruiting????? (I believe all the major employment websites have the perennial customer-service technician vacancy.

Even if you merely open your résumé for employers to view,

you will almost certainly receive a call asking whether you want to interview.

After experiencing one day of technician work, what I found strange was:

You have such a good job—how could you possibly be unable to hire or retain people? Could it be that everyone entering the workforce is a “rotten strawberry”!?

That’s impossible.)

3: The company SOP introduces the company’s products! Technicians are used as salespeople.

On the surface, it says you are helping the company introduce its products, but in practice, because of the voice recorder, you have to force yourself to finish explaining everything the company wants introduced.

To be honest, Qianshan’s product design has been overdue for criticism for quite some time;

what you designed is basically a pile of shit. Salespeople can only sell this beautifully packaged pile of shit!!!! The worst part is that repair technicians who encounter crazy customers can only grit their teeth and let the customers chew them out.

4: Technicians do not have normal meal breaks or rest periods!!!!

On the surface, the working hours are from 12:45 to 9:30 p.m., so after clocking in and receiving assignments,

technicians have to hurry to the addresses to provide service. Say there are seven households in a day.

On average, each one takes 30–50 minutes, plus travel time (at least 15–20 minutes per area). This makes the technicians’ schedules extremely tight (so tight that you basically have no time to eat a normal meal), and that is assuming you don’t encounter difficult customers.

If you encounter a difficult customer who calls you back to deal with an issue, you will spend at least an hour listening to the customer’s nonsense.

Managing your time becomes extremely troublesome! Most importantly, if a service technician is unlucky enough

to encounter customers like this all the way through the day,

the delays will make the other customers waiting unhappy, resulting in services not being completed. This will inevitably lead to a large number of complaints and even cancellations.

Yet the company still emphasizes that technicians must explain proper water-use concepts and new products.

For technicians, this creates invisible time pressure. (What I see now is that the company requires technicians to explain

proper water-use concepts, but the time available does not allow technicians to explain them fully.)
