Nothing happy about it

1. The company has ties to organized crime. The producer used to be a food-program host. Basically, both the producer and the director are extremely self-important and think they’re incredibly capable, so they completely refuse to listen to their subordinates’ opinions.

2. A company can drive out one editor and three planners within a month. You tell me—doesn’t that sound absolutely fantastic?

3. The director really loves making things difficult for people. For example, he’ll tell the editor to add Japanese subtitles to the rough cut before showing it to him.

(WTF??? As Great Brother Wei-Chung’s star pupil, don’t you know that a rough cut is still going to be revised??)

4. The producer restricts your friendships and forbids planners from becoming friends with the agents because he’s afraid company secrets will be leaked (he’s actually afraid you’ll bad-mouth him).

5. A planner has to write scripts, contact venues, negotiate sponsorships, handle location shoots (transportation/meals/expense control), conduct interviews, organize meeting notes, compile guest materials (photos or videos), rent filming props, and organize the filming files for post-production. One person has to do the work of three people, but you only get one person’s salary.

6. After seeing the workload above, do you really think there’s any time off? Bullshit—you’ll still get ding-ding-ding messages during your days off.

7. Even after you leave, the producer will still assign work to you (Pay back the money first, then we’ll talk—the guest appearance fee of NT$5,000 became zero. You took it all, didn’t you?).

8. Oh, right—the producer says that former employees are possessed by ghosts and are wandering spirits.

Summary: This is a company you should avoid if at all possible.
