I previously applied for a position, and the consultant in charge, Ms. Phoexe, called me for a phone interview. During several conversations, she mentioned the company's interview date, and I said I was available. She also asked about my expected salary and said she would try to negotiate on my behalf. After our conversation, she told me she would get back to me. After several days without receiving any response, I had no choice but to email and ask. In response, this Ms. P said that the client believed I did not have a relevant industry background and therefore would not interview me. When I read the email, I was truly baffled. If that was the case, why ask me so many questions in the first place? She had already reviewed my résumé and even learned about my background through the phone interview. I had specifically set aside an entire week, and then, once there was a result, she did not even notify me?

I later replied to tell her that since the client had provided a result, it should have been communicated to the job candidate. I had also specifically set aside the time—my time is time too—so please respect job seekers. This Ms. P did not reply either, which left a very deep impression on me. Looking for a job is already difficult enough; I suggest everyone avoid wasting time only to be treated this way.
