The colleagues are easy to get along with; we comfort and support one another in harsh conditions.
1. The equipment is dilapidated and long overdue for repairs. With broken air conditioners, damaged seats, and old toilets, anyone unfamiliar with the place would think it was a haunted house from the 1970s.
2. The bosses often say one thing and do another. They keep changing their minds, leaving employees scrambling while continuing to pressure them. Yet when the work is finished, the bosses complain: “That’s not what I said at the beginning.”
3. They don’t trust their employees. Even after hiring professionals, they often arrogantly revise the work themselves, causing vendors to reject the submissions or send them back. Here is one of the bosses’ classic quotes: “If I knew how to use such-and-such software, I would have done it myself long ago!”
4. Office employees have to work one Saturday shift every month, but receive no overtime pay. Employees once suggested that Saturday duty was unnecessary, but the suggestion was rejected on the grounds that “someone has to answer the phone on Saturdays” (in fact, nobody calls the company on Saturdays).
5. A gentle, introverted employee once worked quietly on the side to provide support without receiving overtime pay. When the bosses became anxious, they shouted at him: “Don’t be so lifeless! Don’t make me lose my temper!!!”
For anyone looking to cultivate their patience and temper, this is highly recommended as a workplace. Guaranteed to grind you from a person with sharp edges into a radiant, sparkling pearl.
