Interviewing for a full-time position in Japan; all the interviewers were very friendly and talkative.
There were three interviewers in total. When I arrived at the company with my résumé, they gave me a dedicated form to fill out.
However, some of the questions were rather impolite (and no one explained this before I filled it out).
For example, whether I had any experience using illegal drugs, whether I had ever been hospitalized for psychiatric treatment (including the exact year, month, and day), and so on.
They also asked me to provide the names, job titles, and phone numbers of the supervisors from my previous two companies so they could inquire about my work performance.
Aside from the résumé leaving a somewhat negative impression, the interview process itself went quite smoothly.
Although there were three interviewers, only the one who joined partway through could speak Japanese.
Another mainly conducted the interview in Chinese, while the third was responsible for recording the interview and providing explanations.
They said that the Japanese company happened to be moving, so the interview was handled by the Taiwanese company instead.
Also, since I live very close to their company, I was directly invited to an on-site interview.
Therefore, my experience may be somewhat different from everyone else’s (?).
Except that the interviewer who conducted the entire interview in Chinese was slightly casual in attitude, everyone else was very okay.
